The schema.org type describing a video — title, description, thumbnail, upload date, duration and transcript — so search and AI surfaces can represent it without playing it.
Why it matters now
It is the difference between a video that can appear in a result with a thumbnail and a timestamp, and one that is a black box inside a page. It also hands the transcript to systems that quote rather than link.
How it shows up in practice

Include the transcript in the markup, not only on the page, when it is long.

Set uploadDate accurately and update it when you regenerate for a new release.
