Synter Canvas: What an AI Ad Agent Can Do for B2B

Synter Canvas: What an AI Ad Agent Can Do for B2B

Synter Canvas is an AI agent that plans, launches and adjusts ad campaigns inside your live ad accounts. It appeared on Product Hunt's launch list for 3 November 2026. For B2B tech marketers, an AI agent for ads like this can take over the repetitive account work across many platforms. Deciding what the ads say, and who signs off on spend, stays with your team.

    What Synter says it does

Synter sells one connection between an AI assistant and your ad accounts. The Product Hunt listing describes it as an agent that "builds, launches and optimizes campaigns" across "30+ ad platforms," with safety gates on every change. The main setup, according to founder Joel Horwitz's launch comment, is adding Synter's MCP server to Claude, with ChatGPT and other MCP clients also supported. You connect your ad accounts, then ask the agent to build campaigns, move budget or pull reports across platforms.

The platform count depends on which page you read. Product Hunt says 30+. The Synter homepage and pricing page both say 43 advertising platforms. The homepage list includes Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, Demandbase and Apple Ads, with several marked Beta, and it adds that "Capabilities and availability vary by platform and account." Treat any single number as a moving target and check the platforms you buy on.

The name also differs. "Synter Canvas" is the Product Hunt product name. Synter's own site (syntermedia.ai now redirects to synterai.com) talks about "the only Agentic DSP" and an agent media buyer. The pricing page describes a "Campaign IDE" as a "Document canvas for advanced authoring and project management."

    The controls Synter describes

For a B2B team with a fixed quarterly budget, the controls matter most, and Synter describes them in some detail.

On the security page, Synter says a configurable daily spend ceiling "is enforced server-side before any platform API call," and that these hard limits sit in the infrastructure, so a prompt cannot override them. Any action that "cannot be statically classified as safe requires explicit human approval before execution." New campaigns launch paused, and an agent cannot take a campaign live without an explicit activation step. A conversion tracking gate blocks launches when tracking is not verified.

Horwitz's Product Hunt advice is to "Start by approving every change; turn on more autonomy when you're ready." The security page also says audit log entries record the actor, the action, and the before and after values. The pricing page lists audit log retention as 7 days on the Solo plan and 90 days on Scale, so check which applies to your account before you rely on the log.

Coverage is uneven, and Synter's integrations page is honest about it. LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta are listed with full read, write and create. The Trade Desk and Display and Video 360 have limited write and create, with no creative creation. For a B2B team, LinkedIn being fully supported is the line that counts most.

    What it costs

The pricing page lists Solo at $20 a month and Scale at $500 a month per workspace, each with the same amount in usage credits. Reads are free. A campaign launch costs $5 through MCP, image generation $2 and video generation $27.50. The page says Synter "does not charge a percentage of your ad spend." Product Hunt's description says "$0.25 per verified write," while the pricing page applies $0.25 to unpriced calls, so read the current price table rather than the launch blurb.

Where an AI ad agent helps a B2B team

Most of the time in B2B paid media goes on work that is tedious and easy to check: pulling spend and results from LinkedIn, Google and a programmatic platform into one report, pausing ads that have stopped working, rebuilding a campaign structure for a new region, or catching a campaign that will overspend before the month ends.

An agent that can read across accounts for free and prepare these changes for approval saves real hours. That matters most for small teams, where one marketer runs paid, content and events at once.

What it cannot do for hard-to-explain technical products

Our work at Mustard Seed is helping technical products land in new markets: backup and disaster recovery, DCIM, cloud and DevOps tools, AI software. In these categories the hard part of paid media sits before the campaign gets built.

    The message

An engineer who buys backup software will ignore an ad that could describe any vendor. The ad has to name the real problem in the buyer's words, and the landing page has to back it up. An agent can write variants and test them. It cannot tell you that "immutable" means something different to your buyer than to your competitor's, or that a claim about a supported hypervisor is out of date. Someone who knows the product has to approve every claim before it runs.

    Which conversions to trust

B2B deals take months, and a form fill is a weak signal of a sale. On Product Hunt, one commenter asked which conversion number the agent trusts when moving budget between platforms, since each platform claims credit for the same conversions. At the time we read the page, that question had no answer yet. Until your CRM data feeds back in, an agent optimizing to platform-reported conversions can move money toward cheap leads that never become pipeline.

    Brand risk

An ad that misstates your product is public, and engineers remember it. Synter's approval gates help only if the person approving reads the change. Keep approvals on for anything that changes copy, targeting or audiences, and loosen them only for low-risk actions like pausing.

    The budget decision

A spend cap limits how much the agent can spend in a day. Whether this quarter's money belongs on LinkedIn or in a partner webinar is a go-to-market call for your team.

We covered the wider shift toward agents buying media in our post on agentic ad buying and the IAB protocol, and the new ChatGPT ad tools in ChatGPT Ads Manager for marketers.

A sensible way to try it

    • Connect read-only first and use the free reads for cross-platform reporting.
    • Keep every write behind approval for the first month, as Synter itself suggests.
    • Set the daily spend ceiling below what you would be comfortable losing in a bad week.
    • Feed qualified pipeline from your CRM back into tracking before you let the agent move budget.
    • Write and approve the core message yourself; let the agent handle structure, variants and upkeep.
